It has been a very long time since I done any sort of update from the Silver Surfer world, I will admit with my lack of purchasing issues has made my passion for keeping up to date with news some what low. I want this to change.
Today I looked across the web and came across 2 things I want to share with you.
1. Some cover previews for issue 9 and 10
Issue 9 (above) introduces a new planet called Inkandesha populated by living holograms and Issue 10 (below) will bring back Norrin’s old task master Galactus, I am truly excited for both of these issues and can not wait to see the amazing art hidden within.
2. The guys over at Marvel have on their very own blog done a very nice intro to the above 2 upcoming issues alongside a Q&A with Mike Allred about his process. So head over to their post.
here is a preview
Marvel.com: You and Dan seem to be having more fun on this book than just about anyone in comics. What’s your secret to comic collaborative happiness?
Mike Allred: Chemistry has a lot to do with it. I feel the [whole] team is inspired, enthusiastic, and has great affection for the characters.

Let me know what you think of the upcoming issue covers and are you excited for the storylines.
I will try to make these a regular thing again, so until next time. Have fun.
I thought I would take a moment to talk about how I plan to look after my collection and display it.
Firstly I had to decide how to protect my comics. I have spent a long time buying different branded sleeves and backing boards but the ones I am currently using and have found the most robust without being extremely expensive are;
Ultimate Guard – Comic Bags : £6.99 (100 pack) & Comic Backing Boards : £13.99 (100 pack)
Next I had to think about the storage of my comics. I have seen so many different ways to display , from cool cabinets to simple ring folders. For me I wanted them all to be organized, In order and constantly accessible. For this I have decided that my comics will live inside Magazine folders. Ikea Flyt Magazine Files. £6.35 for 10 pack each magazine folder holds 25 bagged and boarded comics nice and snug.
As you can see I have started to put these into place and have started to organize my collection. However they look very plain and white. So the designer inside of me kicked in and I decided that I need to decorate every single one with a duplicate comic that matches the one inside the folder. Here is some images of this.
Please let me know what you think of the designs and layout. Even better please share with me how you store your comics.
I have always had a love in my heart for The Silver Surfer Norrin Radd, as such I have tasked myself with obtaining every silver surfer comic ever published. According to Comic Vine this currently stands at 1697 comics.
This blog will be that journey. I hope to share my collection as it grows and share my experiences along the way. This is going to be a long journey however I hope it is a long and fruitful one.
If you have any Silver Surfer Comics you are looking to sell that are in very good condition please do feel free to contact me via this site.
Let the journey begin.
